This is my first time reading literary criticism extensively. It’s not opened my consciousness as the first two essays have, but has deepened my understanding of the “scene” that she operated in. Her ideas of what modernity in thought is made so much sense to me… also helped me understand the context of Camus better

On style was cool

I feel like I’ve heard all this before

I’m at the part where she’s critiquing radical feminism and cultural feminism. Very juicy

I read the introduction. The style is straightforward and simple, felt a bit like a sparknotes version of what I imagined the book to be. I found the racial and geographic analysis of the early feminist suffragette movement very insightful.
