The character of El Sordo interests me. He speaks Spanish, not many words, but also outsmarts the other characters with ease.

Interesting how it splits everyone up to have different motives

I like this story a lot. A psychologist seems to be more qualified to do weird investigation than a random flamboyant genius named Holmes.

After 10 mediocre stories of mystery and misdirection finally there's a decent one. No brilliant detective, no introduction of a criminal and the process taken to find them and arrest them, no, it's a normal guy, not a criminal, who is tasked with getting out of a jail, of which he had never been in, in a week. And he succeeds to misdirect the warden and guards by appearing to be insane. Funny!

It's a compilation of stories so there's not much of character development but in the current story there's this guy named Kershaw who presumably killed his good friend for the money his friend just received from a Russian merchant who bought his business.
