Melanie is on page 413 of 576 of The Lincoln Highway
one of the best books I have read in a long, long time. Entertaining and complex enough, but not over burdened with a need to prove its legitimacy. the characters are well developed and the stories engrossing

Melanie is starting A Woman of No Importance: The Untold Story of the American Spy Who Helped Win World War II
as a start, the prologue is a big whine about the difficulty of research.

Melanie is finished with Resistance Women
Hard to read and follow the story of the many women involved. I am not particularly attached to any because none if the characters are well developed. The obvious references to Trump, "Make Germany Great, Again" are a loose interpretation of the slogans. For an author who doesn't interpret the Reichstagsgebaude for the reader, why this slogan?

Melanie is on page 146 of 272 of The Prince of Frogtown
I am enjoying the book, favorite lines so far “Jack said, and he paused and shook his head as if realizing now what he should have then: that there are no good endings to stories that begin with ‘we found this case of dynamite’”
