I had a really hard time getting into this one, but I am thoroughly enjoying the direction of it now ( left then a right! ) .

--Audiobook started

It makes me feel sick, but at this point I have to finish. Humans are depraved and disgusting. Upon reflection there are so many things that just stick out early on now.

I don't think a long review at the end is going to be the best way to put my thoughts out, so there could be more short updates to come as I go.

If you ever read this, maybe make sure you've got time to sit with it. And you have a strong stomach.

I got interrupted right at the climax of the story, and I'm almost grateful for it. I had skimmed reviews for this story and found a pattern of people saying how disgusted they were by it, and sure it's not just your run-of-the-mill horror, but after reading Aron Beauregard's Playground it doesn't feel as gross? It feels terrible to put it like that, but I'm fairly desensitized at this point I guess.

Glad to get back into this book. I put it down after the first death, but I'm back in it

I made it through so much of this before actually needing to take a proper break because of the content. It allowed me to refresh and finish another book in that time though, so it's a win.

Finally getting back to this after putting it down for a while.

The writing is enjoyable and I like the humour the main character brings to the book, however as I'm exploring this new genre of books I found I enjoy the mystery of not knowing the killer or not knowing what's going to happen next.

In this book it's clear within minutes what is happening and what will happen, everything in-between is fluff.

Well it got interesting and pretty good quick. Wow! I'm actually invested now.

I'm not a huge fan of the book, unfortunately, but I will still be finishing it.

I think it's largely because of all the different POVs.

I did really enjoy having the antagonist come across the other characters I've been learning about throughout the book.

I'm still keeping hope for this, though!

I am happy to report that the book is less sluggish now, and I feel more involved.

It's still a little difficult at times, but I've been doing a combination of reading and listening to the audio book.

The audio book seems like the way to go! Each POV has a different voice reading it out and makes the many different perspectives palletable.

I'm still struggling to get into the actual story, unfortunately.

There's so many different POVs that from the get-go, I was confused. When I finally feel like I'm going to start enjoying it and get into it, the chapter is over, and I get sent to another perspective.

It's a shorter read, so I'm going to stick this one out, and hope it gets better.

I started this book and got distracted by some other stuff and unfortunately will have to wait for it to become available at the library again to have another crack at it
