I cannot believe anyone could read this prologue and think this book was badly written.

Any romance novel over 350 pages is criminal. The filler and repetitive inner monologues are starting to kill me slowly.

I cannot take this book seriously when Layla calls him “cowboy” like it’s sexy. All I can hear is a 70 year old woman who smokes 10 packs of Marlboros a day saying “cowboy” in a really creepy sultry tone.

I’m starting to think the gruff surly cowboy trope will not be for me. Get me out of this asshole’s head.

It’s triggering my Credence PTSD but thank gawd I know fewer lines are gonna be crossed in this one.
