One of the best things in this book is how it can move at the perfect pace. They're so long that you can set something up and, in this case, have literal thousands of words before it pays off. And that makes it all the better.

Book is done. A very interesting read, this challenged some of my beliefs in an intellectual and persuasive fashion.

You can’t even comprehend the amount of working I’ve been failing to do. Oh also could you look over my business letter draft.

Time to have like four different final projects to do tomorrow and also like job training for three hours.

Even when I don't agree with this book, the act of thinking about what it says is making me smarter.

This is actually one of the best series I’ve ever read, so here I am reading it for the third time.

So far an interesting read. Formulated a bunch of arguments for the debate.

Ok, going into this book now. Also read another seven New York Times articles today, because apparently nunchucks got unbanned in New York and this matters I guess?

I’ve read four or five New York Times articles today, so I hope that covers my reading. One was on current affairs, one on CBD, at least one on sexual assault on college campuses, and another about the new abortion bans.

No retribution, no redemption. Nothing left but ashes.



And Noelle, who is the best character, got a happy ending.

Big plot twists. Maybe heading into a Neo-Nazi redemption arc, if they don't die first. Actually, that would be interesting, since it seems like they would have a bigger positive affect in the way that they would die than in the life they would otherwise live. Also somewhere like five people might just snap before that and kill someone.

Lots of hiking this weekend. Very relaxing. Not much reading of this particular book though.

This is ominous... especially because for once it probably isn’t a gun.

Oh, also neo-nazi love plot, because why not?

So many bad decisions are going to get someone killed in a stupid way, but I guess that is the point of this book.

This quote was expected. Also, the neo-nazi definitely isn't going to be the murderer.

Ok, so now we've got a teenage dad who wants his life back, an illegitimate child, and also a neo-nazi. Who will kill someone? My guess is either everyone, no one, or someone other than the neo-nazi bent on murder, because that would be too obvious.

What was that quote, from the Book Thief?

I got so much stuff done today but now I have tested my ankle and am very tired so this is all the update I have.

Not super engaged in this book, but there is a third book in the other series I was reading so I'll try to get my hands on that.

Ok, so we appear to be exploring the background of the murder, which came after a lost court case when the narrator could justifiably be at their lowest point.

"'You sure you're authorized to give orders to that cat?' ... 'If he acknowledges any rank, I think he puts himself somewhere between Drakasha and the Twelve.'" (Lynch 530)

If you give a cat even more authority, will it get even more full of itself, or is there an upper limit?

"Richer and cleverer than everyone else!" (Lynch 473)

This line is still the defining principle of these books, though we are pulling towards the "everything goes to hell" section. For the second, and certainly not the last time.

Working on this book, but right now I'm mainly trying to find something I can write about for the lenses homework. I have basically no experiences that I can remember, and even if I could they would just sound whiny.
