you ever say to yourself “I’ll just read one quick chapter before bed,” you know, like a liar

I took a wee break from reading this bc things got busy but I’m back now and enjoying it SO much 🥰 The story is so wholesome and funny and yet we’re also getting hints at the darker undertones and other mysteries to be untraveled as we read on... literally I look forward all day to getting to read my daily chapter!! I love it so much already

am I in the middle of reading like 4 other books right now? technically yes. but am I ready to be enveloped in the big gay wholesome found family adventure that awaits me in this book? ALSO YES 🥰🥰

I am absolutely FLYING through this.... every chapter ends on a cliffhanger!!now that I’m older & have read more the writing isn’t as impressive as I remember it, but the visceral world Collins has created and the genuine characters in it are so clear... it makes me so nervous/tense while I’m reading! this book is great but also can’t wait to get to the complicated relationships & REBELLION in Catching Fire

yes I’m currently reading 4 books at the same time but I’ve always wanted to reread these... def enjoying it so far!!

I keep stopping and starting more intense periods of reading this book... something exciting will happen and I’ll get really into and then get bored when things slow down again... just tryna get through so I can read the others!

So far not loving this quite as much as Six of Crows but I just couldn’t stay away from this series!

I’m just continually surprised by how quickly this story evolves and how high the stakes are... these characters are being pushed to the BRINK and while I’m so excited to see how it all ends I can’t help but worry they’re not all going to make it 😬

I got waylaid from reading this for a few months bc life got busy, but coming back to it I’m just reminded by how much I love this crew of misfits and how stubbornly they refuse to admit that they’re such a wonderful found family 🥺 Bardugo is SO GOOD at continuing to raise the stakes, you could literally cut the tension with a knife... I’m so worried for what’s going to happen but can’t put it down!!

If Six of Crows was a slow buildup of backstory and intensity, this one fully just dumps you right into the fray, and the stakes are so much higher... SUCH a page turner and now that we know the characters so well I care about them SO MUCH

CANNOT WAIT TO JUMP FURTHER INTO THIS AND FIND OUT HOW ALL THE CHAOS OF THE LAST BOOK IS RESOLVED

so much has gone done in the last 100 pages... some of them I expected (Matthias could NEVER really betray Nina) but some I did not and I’m so excited to see how it all ends!

the amount of times I’ve stopped to laugh or gasp out loud as I’ve been reading this is so high - watching the fun character dynamics pop up and the backstories and minor details be revealed as we look hear from character’s POV is so exciting, and I’ve been relishing every chapter slowly bc I don’t want it to end!! I love them all!!

Already soooo into this... the world building is clear enough that I can jump straight into it without having read the other books, the characters are all so interesting and the plot is really driving forward... excited to see where everything goes from here 🥰

I’m that person who watched Shadow & Bone and is now going back to read the books... very much enjoyed the show but have high hopes that this will be EVEN BETTER

(also Kaz and the Crows were lowkey my favorite part of the series so v excited for more of them!!)

Baz is back, things are kind of starting to get interesting but I wish I had more context for everything that happened during Simon’s time at Watford though... intrigued to see where things are gonna go, just wish it was a little faster paced!

Nothing super exciting has happened yet but I still can’t put it down... I WANT TO KNOW WHERE BAZ IS
