I literally can’t stop reading this book 😭

{I’ve only ever seen black and white when it comes to my family. But maybe
this is too gray—maybe there’s no right and wrong choice. }

She cannot have a panic attack while I’m here and she’s there.
“Shh, shh,”I tell her in the gentlest voice I can. Calming someone…that’s not a skill I possess. I jump after girls who dive off of cliffs. I accompany crazy chicks on their illogical adventures. I teach them how to
stand back up. I hold them while they fucking cry. But I’m not there to do any of these things. I’m thousands of miles away

“Maybe I’m overanalyzing everything.”

1% in and I’m already laughing, screaming, and terrified… but in the best way possible. 😭 If this is how the book starts, I already know I’m going to be destroyed. And I’m SO ready. 💀❤️

-“Is that what happens when you have children? You gain new family members but have to sacrifice the connection of others? … If we part ways in a few years, I might as well enjoy this now.”

The thought of siblings growing apart hurts in a very specific way. 👍🏼💔

I finally understood the difference between Lily and Lo’s addictions. Lo found a reason to live, while Lily was trying to fill an emotional void and seek validation. It made me realize how differently addiction can look from person to person …and even from one type of addiction to another. I love how the author is portraying this.

Finished watching the “Every Summer After“adaptation and immediately started book two. No regrets. 🥹📖🤍

The fact that Christen is jealous of a stuffed unicorn is killing me. 😂😂😂😭
