God, but Mal is wearing on me a little bit

I've heard that her later books are much, MUCH better than this, which is honestly quite exciting because I'm having a perfectly lovely time reading this one.

I'm one chapter down and not sure how I feel about this. It seems as if Molly is meant to be somewhere on the autism spectrum, but that the author has no real understanding of what that means and has instead written a stiff, robotic caricature of what she thinks a person on the spectrum is like. I'll keep going for now, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish this one.

I've played The Witcher 3 at least four times through but never realised that Geralt is a himbo. But he is.

Really not sure how to feel about this so far. I find Sophie really jarring as a character. So far she just seems to Do Things that suit the plot rather than behave in a manner that is consistent with a human personality and it's disconcerting to read. Her complete non-reaction to (spoiler) was baffling.
