All the characters are so unlikable except the main love interest. Not the cozy love story I thought it would be

So much dumb drama

April finally woke up!!!!

I like that her father pushes her to live her life. Come on girl, 5 chapters of being an insufferable grinch doesn’t make for a fun read. Get your $#!+ together!

Chapter 5 - Happy St. Nick, April is baking cookies bc her ex reached out to her. Finally some Christmas in the story

I reread chapter 4 and I can’t stand the MC. I understand sh has some health issues but she literally says no to everything. She gets invited to go out to a bar, go on a hike, and skiing. She literally says no. Girl go to the bar and don’t drink. Go for a short hike, the fresh air will do you wonders. Why does she have to be coerced to exist in this book!!!!

Chapter 4 - April goes hiking with her dad.

Chapter 3 - not much happens, April goes to the bar with Jimmy and friends. Jimmy has a gf

Chapter 2 - April runs into an ex/crush, she is clumsy, has food stuck in her bun, and makes a fool of herself in front of him. Potential love interest. Don’t know much about him yet.

April and her father are decorating “Norbert” the Christmas tree with ornaments she’s had since childhood. This is a favorite holiday traditions.

April convinces her dad to eat in so she’s not tempted to eat badly ie cheese

Chapter 1 - we meet the MC April. She has a heart condition, had a heart transplant 2 years ago and will require another surgery.

April is in law school. I remember that stressful time in my life. Even when I was meant to be on vacation, I could never truly relax because there was so much to read and so much to learn.

April is home for the holidays. Divorced parents who don’t get along. Nothing big has happened!

This is so fun! I needed a lighthearted, girl power type of story
