I was sold as soon as the first three chapters took me into three different time periods!

Just started last night, but have had a couple of surprises already. Just what I like! I'm already guessing as to the paternity of the new baby. And I just noticed that it's the first of a series containing six titles. Perfect!

I love the characterization and see why this is the start of a series. The first line is one of the best I've read recently. My suggestion is not to avoid this because one of the lead roles is filled by an Episcopalian minister.
