So far it's reading like a history book a little which is tough but sticking to it. Highly recommended book by a book friend. It deserves a chance 😜

Eye opening. Very in line with what the latest health gurus are saying about metabolic health being a crisis today. The part about iron was surprising. The claim is that many people are not anemic but iron is getting trapped in our organs instead of circulating properly. Lots of deep science about mineral balance and metabolic health and of course what we all know there is so much gross stuff in our food and soil

Welp. Not a fun read, but informative and I'm glad I started it. Lots of info about our mitochondria and how they are not doing too well

Anticlimactic to poor me expecting a different ending, but it was fine. I love Dr. Thorne, so I kind of want to give another book in the series a shot, but I'm kind of annoyed right now at not being entertained enough by the barchester series......so maybe later. I know- poor me 😒🤪😂

Almost there. Doing another round of declutter on the house and also redecorating for Fall as I go. Feels amazing 🤩

I'm technically rereading this. It is so good if you struggle at all with getting rid of clutter I love Dana White. She narrates and she's fantastic.

An hour in and the author is still describing the background, but dialogue is starting 😂 I'm a little ADHD and my reading/listening muscles ned exercise, but I trust Trollope and prevail. I don't think I can listen in the car anymore because there is enough dry humor and complex sentences to make it a little hard to both retain and pay attention. Listening to lighter things on the road.

My children gasped. I told them: "No, not the warden on Minecraft."

Highly recommended to me. Not sure how I feel yet about the validity, but fascinating points and of course stories. I've never delved into this topic before that I recall so reading with interest and dwelling on correlating scripture the author presents

This feels basic in a sense, but I'm loving the conclusions so far. It's sort of pagan (philosophically), but even as a Christian I find so many helpful thoughts and conclusions about behavior and meaning. Great perspectives on the big questions and stuff

This quote reminds me of a podcast I was listening to about how lying to yourself a little actually destroys yourself a little.

"When the law and morality are in contradiction to each other, the citizen finds himself in the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense, or of losing his respect for the law - two evils of equal magnitude, between which it would be difficult to choose."

Love this so far. Integrative ideas. Excited about discussing this more with our pediatrician. Great section on ideas for sleep and focus that have been helpful to me as well.
