I put this on my Goodreads list so long ago I don't remember anything about it.

Nobody would mistake Fleming for a master wordsmith, but this one is particularly artless so far.

I honestly can't remember why I put this on hold. Someone must have reviewed the hell out of it.

This should be read when you can sit down and devote time and attention to it. Not for the bus. It's richly detailed, deliberately paced and intricately plotted. Really good so far. I do wish it had a character list.

Dense opening. The author was wise enough to expo the characters' goal, so it doesn't feel like wading through mud.

Thirty plus pages of background exposition. WTF? Writers: know where to start your story!

I feel like something's going on in this book, but I can't figure out what.

Williams knows how to drop a page turner. Every chapter is a cliffhanger.
