This is so up my alley. I love it to bits. Oh my scurvy was horrific way to die. I haven't seen the TV adaptation but wow im enjoying this story so much. Parts of it steeped in actual history to look up on the Internet just keeps the interest going.

Absolutely loving all the opportunities for checking out bands and labels I don't know about. It's a treasure trove of info for hardcore music sharers.

Loved his writing style even if I didn't really grasp what was going on with the characters by the end of the book!
I like the way he describes small actions like the clock ticked or a curtain blew, inbetween dialogue, pieces of description that help move from scene to scene, like a film. It puts you in the room with the characters as time passes.
Also the the characters constantly grazed just like sheep!!!

I have a feeling things are going to end badly for Owen!
It's interesting how the company scrimps on materials and labour. Lies barefaced to the customers, many whom are poverty stricken. Then these men go to church, but that's OK because we are all sinners and only God can judge me!
