Again...there is americanization here! We don't say "yes ma'am" in England, we're not American! And she is not the queen!

I admit it really bothers me that the topic of "insurance" comes in here regarding the NHS (National Health Service). We are in London, England supposedly and the UK has FREE healthcare. There is no reason for him to bring up insurance as a reason he hasn't taken her to a hospital! The author is supposedly from the UK? So it makes even less sense. Also we do not say "sir" to a boss at work. That's American.

This is NOT the Mount we met in the Mount Trilogy, I don't know WHAt on earth this is, but I don't like it.
I also don't like all this preaching that seems to be the new thing here, I really can't stand all this godbothering the author is putting in this book, I'm only a little bit in, but it seems to be a theme.
And wtf happened to Mount?? Who is this dude??

I am actually struggling...it's very very slow going. Is it gonna get better? lol

For some really fucking annoying reason, this book so far is not captivating me the same way as book 1, and I'm really angry about that. Not the author's fault! It's mine...I'm just not feeling this one yet, it could be because I kiiind of hate chase stories...they take too fucking long to get to the good stuff! lol

I hate to say it guys, but this is actually struggling to keep my interest. :'(
I find the writing a bit too...clunky? Which I am hating because I've heard good things about this series! Grrr

Sooo...the problem with this book is that I did my thing where I kind of...skip to a bit in the end...because I absolutely hate NHE books...sadly...by skipping to the end of this book - I know it's not got a happy ending, granted I don't know WHY it ends the way it does - and I have to read the book to find out many things...but it's put a downer on it. And the next book is no better that way. I'm struggling now.

I might have to completely start again on this book - I was so invested in this series - it's really good! But then I fell ill and I sort of lost the plot.

I am taking a small break from this one as I am finding it slightly...strung out?

I tried this book yesterday, but I am already struggling after just the first chapter. Because I found a lot of the writing to be very repetitive on words and another problem I have is when there is (what I feel is) too much current language - mixed with a historical novel where they would most likely have different words for something, persons and so forth. It's a real pet peeve for me so it makes me struggle.

What on earth have I set myself up for reading...oh holy mother of all that dark and slick...I fear this is another 'life of Anna' type of book! :o lol Just in a Jade West way. I've only read one book from her before - I should probably have headed her warning in the beginning, but the other book I read was def. nothing like this! hahaha

I put this book down a long time ago because I just couldn't connect properly. Which pisses me off because I absolutely LOVE Nora Ash and her Omegaverse books, but this one...just...:'(
