This is not well written. It is trite and obvious. I may not finish it.

I will finish this sometime. Maybe at the beach this summer. I just don’t find it interesting.

I'm not sure I will finish this. Every time I pick it up (audible), I think to myself, "do you really want to wreck yourself?" And no, I don't. After a couple of mentally exhausting years, I just cannot submit myself to be destroyed by a book rn. I will say, it is beautifully written. This is my third (or fourth? ) Kristin Hannah, and she can write well. I just don't think my heart can take this particular story.

audio book. About 5 hours in (it’s 48 hours!!) miss Streisand narrates her own memoir. I’ve really enjoyed the beginning and learning about her youth, and how she got into show business. But I feel like I would have preferred the abridged version of this book. She describes a lot of things that may tell you something about her personality, but aren’t of interest after the fifth time and theres 38hrs left!

I am LOVING this book. Audible. Two narrators. Marcel the Octopus is wonderful. Tovah is a delight. Is it predictable? Yes, but in the very best, charming, heart warming, teary way. I will be sad when it is done.

Tovah is a 70-something widow who works as a cleaner for the local PNW aquarium. Friends with the Remarkably Bright Creature, Marcel the Octopus, they narrate their time over a summer of family and grief.
