Schwab's writing is both flowery and deep, but doesn't suffer the same pitfalls as other flowery authors. Am loving this story!

So, are we supposed to like Cal at this point? I mean, I get that Mare does, for some reason, but he's kinda boring, honestly. 🤷‍♀️

DNF'd - Not the worst writing I've ever encountered, but I can already tell it's not my vibe.

The People of Dover is my favorite so far. I can't help but compare it to current geopolitical issues and happenings in the world today and be touched by the simple strength of human beings.

I am loving how this is a book I know I will be able to revisit time and again and get something new out of it each time.

I'm only through the Introductions and a bit of the first article; I can already tell I'm going to love this one.

Oooh boy, I can already tell I'm gonna love this book. Here's to hoping it lives up to the first 50 pages!

Is it just me or is this book supremely boring?

So far I'm feeling pretty meh about this book. Mildly problematic, maybe?

The timeline in this book is absurd. It started in January and by page 54 we're already into summer. I mean, I'm not expecting to love it, but I'm just really not sure about how disjointed it feels so far.

So far this is significantly better than Throne of Glass for me. Lucien is by far my favorite character right now, and though I find Feyre to be annoyingly naive at times, I do see her as being a more realistic person than Celaena. Current feelings are roughly 3.5/5 stars.
