I enjoyed the audiobook as much as the first time I read the book!

I decided to read this book while camping. Once I finally had service I was surprised to find that I already read it. I remember Nothing.

This story started out strong for me but faded midway, and never regained my eager interest. I like to think I'm easily entertained but there were too many shifts in Lucius for my liking. Not sure if I'll bother with the sequel.

The audiobook was phenomenal! Hard to turn off and a fantastic refresher before reading the sequel.

Paused at page 78 because someone else wants it from the library. Absolutely will continue reading!

I give up

I am SLOGGING through this one. It is nonfiction (which is slower for me in general) but this is brutal. Some of the wording makes me laugh out loud or read the sentence again just to enjoy the imagery, but this has taken me 4 hours to get this far. In fiction I would average 2 hours or less for 124 pages. This is a book club book and the author will “visit” the library so I have to finish but I don’t want to.

The rhythm ebbs and flows. Sometimes I can’t read fast enough, other times I have no problem putting it down. I don’t mind the temporal jumps between now and flashbacks but the mystery is starting to stretch out too long.

Finished the first of four novellas, the title story. So unsatisfied that I will read something else and decide later whether to try the next.

Listened to the audiobook for the first time. Now i remember why I didn’t have this on repeat that summer.

I have to give the book back to the library 😩

I know better than to start a series that not published in completion but I did it any way! I’m less than a 100 pages in and KNOW that I want the next book already!

The audiobook was fantastic! Amazing narration!!

Why am I bothering with this? Of course she wants that tattoo...
I am thankful for the warnings at the beginning of these books but it’s still really hard to read.

Read Dark Hunter Christmas about Gallagher. I enjoyed it! Not one sex scene ;)

Finished reading Phatom Lover. Not sure why I’m still reading this series. I love a good sex scene but I need more plot to balance it out.
