God I'm so loving this and so sad I'll have to wait for the sequel. Keep glancing at the minutes left (audio) and feeling bummed.

Think this might be a DNF for me.

Enjoying this second excursion into the world. Fast paced and the supernatural stuff works better in this one.

I don't love it, though it's entertaining enough. Peter's POV is all flashbacks at this point. Still so many questions and no answers.

Almost done with revisions. On the last couple chapters. Of course that’s the hardest part. 😩

Pretty good so far, although it’s from the early 2000s so the vernacular is dated. The historical inaccuracies of the flashbacks keep knocking me out of the story. Peter is supposedly 1400 years old but everyone in the flashbacks is eating potatoes. 😣

Enjoying it a lot so far. Can't get over the character named Never. For some reason I picture him as Neil Gaimen.

This is one of those books with a super interesting premise. I really hope it lives up to its potential.

This has been sitting on my shelf forever, partially read. It was the audiobook that got me reading it again. I'm at the WW2 and history of eugenics part and just... ahhhhhhh. Even though I'm already familiar with a lot of this, it never stops being shocking/horrible to hear quotes from people who think disabled people should die.
