The first chapter is objectively the weakest and reads the most like fanfiction. Also I still don’t know what Kip looks like.

There’s fun bits of characterisation throughout but I cannot emphasise enough that I am on page 62, five chapters in, and I do not know what one of the main characters looks like. Like genuinely I have more description of his friends than I do him. He has eyes, dimples, and hair, and he works out. That’s all you know about him.
