It was a high, so intense I could already sense the crash ahead, the storm on the wind of a sunny day. Or maybe I would never crash. Maybe this was the new me, invigorated to the edge of mania forever."

Upon seeing me see him, his smile cracks open something so handsome and light in him that in turn it cracks open something in me. His joy is so painful, so true, even after all our years, I am still unprepared for the abundant wave that passes through my body.

He’s here, I think with the same feeling of wonder as when I first met him.
