A very well written account on the life of an extra ordinary individual. Amundsen is usually remembered in the angloshphere as the victorious villan in Scott's tragic quest to the South Pole, but he so much more than the first explorer to reach the South Pole. He was a well thought man born in the snow, and was clearly more naturally adept than his british contemparies like Scott or Shakleton.
