Why would the author go to the trouble of specifically setting the book in north van and mentioning actual street names and getting it WRONG!?!? Just make up street names or be vague? She’s not across Capilano River if they’re still in north van! And she didn’t casually bike there it would be down a fucking mountain and then back up it!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Both MCs are very tall and the FMC is tall and broad and curvy and unapologetic about it 🙌🏻 she takes up space and is capable and he loves it about her. I feel so seen ❤️

I think I hate Christopher Moore. Only not DNFing cause it’s a book club pick but I still might. Why is obsessed with alpha/beta males? Why is he a creepy chauvinist when he describes… everyone?

Here I was thinking the author knew something about horses until the line “we slowly cantered back” entered my eyes 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’d give the author benefit of the doubt that the narrator knows next to nothing about horses but if that girl actually cantered she’d 100% fall off haha

A dr asked another dr their blood type and replied without the Rh factor. I can only take my suspension of disbelief so far. And they keep referring to O (I’m assuming negative but not specified) as “rare” which like, maybe uncommon or hard to match but rare? Cute so far otherwise

It has the same things about the writing that I loved in the will of the many - the unexpected turns and surprises- plus a great way of weaving characters together and presenting conflicting information from differing POVs has me wondering what I can trust and who people are
