This book is a balm for the soul, as I read it on my morning commute jam packed into a train with hundreds of other people. Raven paints vivid pictures of the wild places and animals she encounters and not being particularly familiar with American fauna & flora, I am enjoying looking up pictures and trying to astrally project into the scenes while my personal space is invaded!

Finally diving back into the book… almost 5 years later!

This book is such a bummer. Things never change! The poor are always poor and women always lose out.

Oh hi Alice Oseman, how did you go into my brain and pull my life experiences out and casually write them into a book?

Audiobook read by the author. Really enjoying so far

This is already scaring me!!! But in a good way. I need to prioritise my sleep.

But there’s a lot of smack talk about caffeine- don’t try to come for my cups of tea, Mr Walker!!! 😂

Currently re-reading this one.

Loving the interwoven social research with the author’s anecdotes. This truly feels like a book written just for me. This little introvert has even started trying out some tips mentioned!

Loving that this is based on a true story... haaaaating the back and forth between two characters perspectives.

I feel like they’re teasing the mystery out a lot which I don’t quite have the patience for right now.
However, I got so invested, I missed lunch so the book is obviously doing something right!!

Really excited for this one. It’s been sitting on my shelf for the longest time.
This year all the books I will be reading will come from my own neglected bookshelf!!!

Ok so I’ve just started but this book has me proper laughing out loud. As a fellow introvert, Jessica Pan has captured so many weird and wonderful things about being an introvert in only a few pages. I feel so seen to quote her “if we’d met at a party that neither of us has flaked on, we could bond over this while hiding in the kitchen near the cheeseboard”

This is a little love letter to Brisbane. It’s so nice to read about your home town.

It’s so nice seeing your own journey in someone else, albeit much more eloquent than your own. Most of these words could have come direct from my brain. It’s even a bit spooky like, I thought I was the only one

Audiobook- this honestly has the worst ‘Scottish’ accent I’ve ever heard in my life- and the one I do sounds like an even more offensive Apu from The Simpson’s, so I know what I’m talking about.
I hope this character doesn’t say much more during the book but I have a bad feeling he will!

Ive been pleasantly enjoying my foray into Stephen King’s work. I haven’t found it scary so far.

But this book- I think it’s going to make me sleep with the light on!!!

Whoopsie, didn’t realise this was the third in a series. I’m already onto Ch 13. I had an inkling whilst I was reading but I don’t feel any worse off for not having the read the previous ones.

So far, so good. Enjoying this read as the narrative flicks between the characters.

I actually laughed when I picked this book up from the library. It is insanely huge!!!!
A little hard to get into but I’m persevering. You’re dumped straight into a complex world but I trust the author to get me through it 😂

Ohhhh... so this is what it’s like to read a book that sucks you in wholeheartedly...

On Chapter 6, absolutely loving this book!!!

This book is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I actually missed my turnoff I was so engrossed in the audiobook!
