WTF IS GOING ON?!?!? MY HEART CANNOT HANDLE THIS!

Everything my Victorian heart loves and needs! The Victorian poetry and quotes from various authors from the Victorian era warms my heart!

I DNF’d - I had high expectations and maybe that’s where I faultered. I really wanted to enjoy this books but I just couldn’t get past the middle-school way it felt. Along with the POV’s jumping between first and third person, it was not properly balanced.

I’m not loving it? Like, I’m already on chapter 6, but it just feels very…middle grade to me.

I’m on chapter 10 but it doesn’t show either % or pg number!

As a massive fan of Criminal Minds, this book is amazing! I haven’t been gripped by a book in such a long time. The only criticism is the section “YOU” sections within the book. I know I am supposed to be confused but my gosh. My brain isn’t braining.

At the beginning of this book, I found myself finding it to be like The Hunger Games, what with the training, poor girl leaves family to avenge them kind of thing; as the story is progressing, I am quite enjoying it. Although I much prefer Roman to Xander (my personal preference).
