Hey I like to thank everyone who has reviewed my latest collection “Dreaming in a Perfect World” there seems to be a little discrepancy I’d like to clear up. The photocopies that appear in the collection are DREAMS from my journal not poems. Also the dreams are more legible in the paperback. These two things seem to have a negative impact on my reviews although most of the reviews are three stars.

One of the poets i highly respect. This is the first book of his I’ve read and I enjoyed it. I loved the honesty in the poems about his struggle with depression and alcoholism. Unlike the many poets who glorify whiskey and alcoholism, Jon did a great job with talking the ugly side of addiction.

Just because a poetry collection is relatable it necessarily doesn’t mean it’s good and just because the poems aren’t relatable doesn’t mean it’s not good.

also be consistent and non bias:

I’ve noticed a lot of reviewers are very lenient when it comes to reviewing books by more popular writers while being hypercritical or the less popular ones.

Just because you don’t agree or relate to everything the author says doesn’t mean the WRITING isn’t good. Be as subjective as possible when you choose to review someone’s work. Leave your personal bias and beliefs out it.

I truly appreciate everyone who has reviewed my recent collection “Don’t Wait Til I Die To Love Me” but there are a few things of wish to point out. I hope no one gets up set but:
