Oh how I love a dark, gritty romantic suspense!!

I usually love Maya Banks' books but I'm really struggling with this one. The lack of alignment in details and the over the top insta-devotion Isaac has for Jenna are just dragging the story down. And reading the reviews it appears a lot of people felt the same way.

I usually really like Sharon Sala books but this one so far isn't hitting the right note. I feel like I'm reading a Regency/Southern Inspirational hybrid written Diana Palmer-style.

Time to start skim reading before I throw my ereader across the room. And i want to strangle the heroine.

This book is making me want to tear all my hair out!

Can't really say I'm enjoying this book. The 3rd person present tense POV is irritating but more so the authors writing style is overly simplistic and lacks flow. Plus there are contradictory parts that make no sense. I'll finish it but I can already say I won't read more by this author.

The inconsistencies in details are really killing the momentum of this book (and series).

Only 52 pages in and this book is just breaking my heart

If I didn't hate giving up on a book so much I would stop reading this one. I can't stand the heroine. She's an obnoxious twit with enough neuroses to float a boat.

Eh...I really want to like this book but it's just not hitting the right buttons. And parts are just too much.

Having trouble getting into this one. But contrary to a lot of others, it's the female lead that is annoying me, not the male lead.

Hello all...I know I don't hang on GR much anymore, but I try to pop on once in a while. Just wanted to post that I've changed my username to jenjn79. Given what's going on in the Middle East, using IsisFG seemed kinda inappropriate...despite the fact that it's been my online name for over 10 years.

Well, at least the hot humid weather was useful for something! It kept me inside with nothing to do...so I got all the books I've read in the past however many months added to GR. Now if I could just keep up with it......

Bin o' books has been added to GR. Now I just have about 20 ebooks to add and I'm caught up.

*sigh* I literally have a bin full of books I've read that I need to add to GR.

Just took about a month to reread the entire Virgin River series...

Definitely a very hot book but lacking in character development. 3stars. Finished 7/30/12

Not particularly enjoying this one. I just want to knock Eve unconscious so she'll shut up and stop thinking for once. I'm bored.

Hmm...I've read 4 books in a row that I generally liked but had nothing to say about them review wise. Weird.

I gave myself 2 choices, read this one, or read the Lora Leigh book I don't want to read. This one won, hands down.

5 stars all the way. Excellently done book. Gripping, emotional, a nice romance. Probably one of the best books I've read so far this year. Finished 5/24/12.

So far this book is fantastic. It's just the kind of romantic suspense that I like.

Didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as the last book. It was lacking that sort of rough raw feeling the other books have had. 3 stars. Finished 5/10/12

I'm finding the change in tone because of the change in publisher to be very obvious. I much prefer the way the other books were written. This one lacks the brash rawness the others had.

I have to stop buying books that I later realize I don't want to read. Practically half of my tbr-queued shelf are books I'm having to for myself to read.

I'm enjoying this book a heck of a lot more than I thought I would.

*sigh* this series just never disappoints me. Yet another wonderful addition to this series. And with the new character, Coop, introduced it leaves us hope the series will continue. Finished 4/28/12. 4 stars. Maybe 4.5-5. I'm undecided as yet.

I'm loving the nuances between these two characters and I really like Arizona. This is shaping up to being a great book.

Not a bad book by any means but for whatever reason it didn't particularly suck me in. 3.5 stars. Finished 3/30/12.
