Ugh this book is so long. I have super high expectations for the ending. After investing all this time, those expectations better be met!

My previous guess that everyone is a ghost seems very unlikely at this point. Now not sure what the twist could be, but pretty sure it has to do with everyone being crazier than they initially seem.

So good I can't stop listening. A mother and her son - on the run from a cartel jefe with a vendetta - are trying to get to the US from Acapulco. It's heartbreaking the horrible circumstances migrants experience.

It's already so funny the ways she describes New York Society. And the song she describes being sung at the opera is the same song I sang for high school regional choir auditions!

He persuades her to join him at his estate as his personal musician. The opulent manor is full of magical and mysterious peculiarities that raise many questions for Xue. She is uncovering the truth with each day that passes. I like it so far.

I think I've been reading too many regency romances and it's just not fun anymore. I need to read something different.

This book would be rater R due to very strong language, and the wild bachelor party. Debating if I should finish it. Is it worth it? Does it get better after the bachelor party is over?
The relationship drama hooked me from the beginning, and the descriptions of the wildly lavish lifestyle is crazy.

I thought this book was about a black man on trial but all I keep hearing about is the mysterious Boo Radley.

This book is so annoying.
