Interesting book using sociological insight into culture and interpreting via theology. Some of the essays are really thought provoking like 'busyness', fantasy funerals and weddings. Others offer useful cultural insights but tend to smooth over potential theological paradoxes

Interesting at first and then the lack of narrative and the many diversions distracted from what is a fascinating historical subject.
