I love primatology, have always found it fascinating, but I think this is the first novel I’ve come across in which the protagonist works in that field. Granted, I only started seeing non-problematic archaeologist MCs in the last couple years, so. :/ Anyway, I’m jazzed lol

So far, a joy to read. Maybe it's just that I'm finding the protagonist (an earnest but goofy and awkward chaos muppet) super relatable, but I really don't understand the low ratings

Made me legitimately weep (in a good way) at 6%. These characters are just the best

Loving it more than Spoiler Alert so far, and enjoying the ADHD rep

Listening to an ALC. I tend to have trouble with audiobooks—have only been successful so far with “Take a Hint, Dani Brown.” And with YA, narrators I’ve heard in the past seemed to try too hard to sound young. Happy to say, though, I’m enjoying both the writing and narration of this one.
