I like following the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. All the other cutaway characters I'm taking longer to warm up to. The sometimes pandering writing doesn't help. Name-dropping random people in the background just bc the reader knows who they are. If they're not part of the scene or the story at all, why do we need to list the full government names of these people walking by? Very stilted.

Tested out a few books today, but none were good enough to continue. Agh. I need a commute read

So far this is not very good. The stilted unnatural way thy talk about "asian" things and people. The repetitive inner thoughts (2 or 3 pages of someone reiterating the same thing in their head) The silly seriousness of it all. But I physically purchased this book to read it since it was not available anywhere. So I 'm GOING to read this.

Just got my order in from WOB. Exciting, except that 2 of the books are the wrong edition/not what the listing said. Collecting books is hard.

I find it weird that I'm this far into the book and I still have no idea who our mains are as people. There is like no characterization. Hoping this gets more interesting.

What are the chances that I would pick up 2 novels in a row with a FL with the last name Sparks? Weird.

I've taken to largely writing book thoughts/reviews in my physical reading journal, but I'm trying to remember to also say SOMETHING about the books here on Goodreads. No promises though.
