I know I have read this at some point in the last 8 years. I can’t remember all of it, but certain parts come back to me in a flash of deja vu. I scoured my amazon and audible accounts but no record of it…must have been a paperback I picked up at an airport or something…I am enjoying it anyway, and I’m fairly certain I haven’t read book 2, so I am going to keep going.

Ugh, this narrator. “Yesh, thish is how it feels to deal with the devil”

Ok, finally I think I am at a place I have not read before, so…. Guess this isn’t a re-read after all. Not sure why I stopped reading it before, because I am having a good time! The banter is already making me chuckle and kick my feet.

I bought the audiobook so I could continue this when I can’t sit and read. I am a horrible person because I cringe every time the narrator says an “s” with her obnoxious speech issue turning s into shh, house is housh, ways is waysh, etc. It’s too much. Itsh too much. 😆

I’m still getting all kinds of deja vu reading this. I think I remember why she is summoned to hr, but I still don’t remember much else…did I read this already, or just a sample?

I have been reading the Mercy Thompson series and I am missing something in the relationship area. After some research, I think this one might fit the bill…only, I know I have read some of this before. I don’t remember it until I read a page, I can’t tell you what is about to happen, but it seems so familiar! 🤔 I will give it a few chapters, see if I can figure out of I read this one or just read a sample…

I am getting so invested in Mercy!!

In the last book, Mercy owed a favor to a powerful vampire and the payment was the bulk of the 2nd book. This one is starting out as Mercy finding out she owes a debt to the fae for using magical tools loaned to her in the last quest for more times than agreed upon. She is on her way to the fae reservation to try to help identify a murderer.

This book is showing us a lot more of who Mercy is and what she is capable of, also a bit more of her past, which has helped make her what she is today. I hope this book will flesh out Adam a little more, he is a vague character, not all that likable. Samuel seems broken and sad, he needs something or someone to live for, and Stephan is interesting and complex in this book, too.

This book starts with a bang. Mercy’s vampire “friend” is cashing in on a favor owed, and puts Mercy in the path of a demonic sorcerer. Not a spoiler to say she survived because this series is about 14 books long. 😆

I’m only a few chapters in and I’m hooked!

This book came out 20 years ago! My life was so different 20 years ago…
This is good so far. Interesting premise, a coyote shape-shifter living near werewolves.

This has slowed down significantly, not super interesting anymore…I am close to DNF, but I keep hoping it will pull me back in.

This one started slow for me, but I am starting to really like it. Glad I stuck with it.

Not loving this one…I plan to stick with it a bit longer though

I will finish it. I only have this as an audio book so I listen while driving, exercising, errands. Not terribly exciting but I love how Bob has rescued this man.
