Couldn't finish it. Maybe I'll go back to it someday, but after reading that her parents denied her allegations, it struck me that I wasn't terribly interested in reading the rest of it. Plus, it was a Libby loan, and reading it in a pressured time frame and on my Kindle didn't appeal.

I'm finding it very difficult to get through this book . . . too many sidetrips and characters . . .but I plan to keep plugging away to see what happens.

This novel touched a deep chord in me. Skillfully crafted in eloquent prose, the story of Francesca, a housewife, and Robert, a free spirit and photographer, typifies the desires and longings of love in middle age, countered by the choices and responsibilities that shape our destinies.
