So far, it's putting me to sleep. This one might be better read vs. audiobook. The narrator is nice, but the story So far is....boring.

Good so far, but very descriptive in areas that are giving me a bit of PTSD, causing me to remember some medical mayhem that happened to me. It's like watching a show you can't look away from, but in a book.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm listening to the audio vs. reading, but this is a strange book so far. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It's told from 3 different perspectives. Two flow well together, but the 3rd is very jarring. Overall, not sure about this one.

This is a narrative poem, novel length. It starts slow but is well written. The beginning left me wondering why it was so highly rated, but as the story unwinds- it becomes more clear.

Listening to the audiobook. I watched the Netflix documentary about her Broadway debut- she's a lot more of a complex person than she's been portrayed in media.

Really interesting, so far.

I loved the first book. This one is good, but you can tell it's the middle book of what seems like will be a trilogy. I'm still invested, although I'm not sure I would be if I wasn't listening to the excellent audio narration.

The story is starting to pick up, finally.

I'm listening to an older audiobook version. I'm really enjoying the narrator, Fredrick Davidson. He's keeping me from falling asleep. I know this is a classic for a reason, but it's pretty dry so far. But, it's on my list of classics to read at least once- so here we are.

This is a long book. I'm listening to the audio version (31 hours) & I'm already dreading it ending with approximately 7 hours left to go. I've already put the authors other book, Cutting for Stone, on hold from the library.

Only 10% in, but really excellent so far.

Good, so far. But further ingraining my desire to never, ever, go to a nursing home. Nope.

Years ago, Jane Goodall came to my tiny college to speak. It was an inspiring experience seeing her speak & getting to briefly meet her afterward at a meet n greet. (Especially as a bio/physio anthropology student) So far, this book is like that talk. I'm listening to the audiobook, and she's just a great storyteller.
