STOPP he may not haunt the narrative, but he haunts MY narrative. Why am I being reminded of something I suffered through in year 9.

Can’t believe Clare just popped him into a dream like that and then he’s gone again a page later like it’s nothing.

“You’re gone. You let yourself be killed in Edom, rather than kill me.”
Raphael furrowed his brow. “Are you sure? That doesn’t sound like me.”

Oh I’m sure, because I never got over it.

O. m. g. His dream has a Raphael Santiago cameo. Turning the page and seeing that name genuinely made my jaw drop and my brain short circuit. 14 y/o me would be screaming, crying, and sliding down the wall. Current me is falling to my knees.

“I am glad for ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, at least. I have learned, after all these years, where the wild things are. They are in this Institute.”

Wow I’m even reading about TID characters in 2025. I miss them. Should I just reread the entire Shadowhunters series… 😍

Reading about the TMI characters in the big 2025, I truly will never grow out of who I was at 16.

Jace and Clary 🚬 I haven’t heard those names in a longg time

Idk if I’m just older, but her writing doesn’t seem as amazing as her other books.

Plot, world, and characters are really good. But keeps referencing real world things that pull me out of the story.

Idk how I feel, the concept is super interesting and I love the plot, but some things are very predictable and the politics aren’t original or fun at all, like it reads like she’s just taken real-world politics and given things different names.

Really liking this so far, but it’s taking me forever to read because there are so many new words and names I don’t understand 🥲

Just realized this was due 2 days ago.. anyways liking it so far!

Should I just stop and end the book here…

The author annotations are so interesting, I thought I’d found all the wordplay/puns but there are even more than I thought.
