Pretty cover I've seen so many places; didn't realize how heavy of a book it'd turn out to be after reading the cover sleeve. But am interested for sure.

I'm not overly drawn in still at 50% but saw that a friend gave it 4 stars so holding out. I liked her first book so I expect it to pick up with where the story's gone so far.

I'm not overly pulled into but I also didn't love Laura Dave's other book until the very end so holding out a bit for this one.

Obsessed. When's the last time a book kept you up after midnight when your bedtime's 10? It picks up and doesn't stop. You get so much of so much & this far in, the question that looms, how did she lose her memories? Ah. I get the hype.

It's intense from the get go but also a tad slow as you'd expect with an introduction into a world. It's horror-esk dystopian fantasy with figuring out the past with the MC. They say this book was fed by Manacled but you don't need to have read it to follow along.

Yeah this one is already not doing it for me. I'll give it maybe til 30%?

I'm here for this book through & through. At one point a subtle code name kids next door theme hit me; the recurring themes throughout make it easy to follow for someone like me who reads usually at face value; it's not a trial based book, the MC goes through a huge self discovery & an adventure & there's just enough romance if you need it in your books.

Eating this up. Described it to a friend of hunchback of notre dame vibes, with a knights tale flare, a tad of Poppy from Jen Armentrout, a strange divination style and a fast paced mystery. I'm here for it & expect:hope for a second book.

Picked up the 4th book thinking it was the 2nd, my bad. But nod to Paolini for having a recap of the first book, a TABLE OF CONTENTS!, and chapter titles. I am so here for all three of those things. The book itself, I'm getting into slowly and ngl I don't really care about his cousin atm. But I'm sure the two stories will come together at some point.

I haven't the fainted idea what the first book was about so I'm truly lost in these first chapters. And looking back at my review of Quicksilver didn't help worth shit. Really wish more authors would add a recap of the books prior.

Half way through & the plots are starting to align & overlap. I'm not in love with it but it's just captivating enough that I'm still interested in how it all comes together.

Switched over to the audiobook for convenience. Still the low key yearning for her uncle is giving me bad vibes. The three overlapping timelines are easy to follow along & I'm intrigued how it all ties together.

Two chapters in, a Pinky & the Brain reference? I'm so here for it. The MCs story is in the 90s and it's fabulously nostalgic already. Then bouncing back to early 1900s, cool.

It's a cozy atmospheric slow small town secrets with a molasses type pace. 100 pages in & I had hope it'd pick up. Still slow, might DNF it if it doesn't ramp up. But the vibe of the PNW comes through hard in this one.

How insightful and curious this book is. Lots of comparisons between generations and trauma. It's definitely shakin up stigmas and perspectives. A tad over halfway through & if you have kids, (I don't), you might want to give this one a listen.

Is it 100% predictable? Yes. Do I care? Nope. It's cute, fun, quirky, and romantic.

I picked it solely based on the cover. It's settled on my kindle in airplane mode as I'm not the biggest fan of apocalyptic books. Might hang in limbo for a bit.

Called the ex and the BFF; but so far it's a cute book, a tad of Ms. Congeniality but with a hotter movie star guy. It's light, witty, and fun.

Picked for the title and the stabby cover, didn't know there was a first book. But while you'd likely get more context of some of the references, I don't think you have to read the first to dig the second. Fast paced, AA for assassins, and adventure.

Girl gets dumped after her mom dies. Sad. Ex-boyfriend goes on mission with best friend. Calling it now that at some point the best friend and ex-boyfriend are gonna do it.

I'm not saying I won't read it but i think it's a timing thing, not sure I'll get to it this month. Heavy already at a few pages in.

Just as fast paced as the first. Love that it's a duology and not 7 books and both under 400 pages. Interested to see how it wraps up.

Still early & yet missing girl, mom starts dating a dude, there's a tutor that might be relevant and a new family. But what if the tutor is the mom of the daughter of the dude the mom's now dating....

A chapter in & I'm intrigued as the gods are listed prior to the prologue which is not the norm. And from a love power is not the typical power. Interested to see where this goes.

Still flipping through the pages of all the various recipes. Some seem fairly easy, some probs never going to happen either I don't have the patience, the baking supplies, or don't like the ingredients lol

I'm giving the book grace as I have hopes - which I expect to be broken. Also over both dudes pining over Isla, now Grimm is all I hate you enemy again - like we've about come full circle. Cool. I'm not itching to finish it yet I'm also zooming through it every time I get in the car. The dramatic sighs that leave my body like girl for real? Or Oro don't cry for this hoe...

Got to 50%... she chose a dude of the two and then he loses his memories? Is that the recurring theme in this series? Not to make light of Alzheimer's but is it an awareness book? I'll likely give it through another Oro chapter & call it. Or read the reviews, as 7 hours of listening? I've got other books to listen to.

Picked up this cookbook from the library specifically looking for a lemon tart. Obviously saw the one on the front like woah! So interested to pull a few of these recipes this holiday season.

I can't say its getting any better; I'm tempted to DNF but I'm mildly invested in reading the first 3 books.

It's quite a slow trickle of adventure yet I know it's the intro book of setting the stage & building the world but it's taking me so long to get through.
