I'm loving the adventures of the Stoneham gang at sea! I can't figure out of Tricia has an eating disorder, or is a model of good eating habits...

I don't understand the bizarre scene changes. The author needs to get better at segueing between scenes in her books. It's confusing that I'm the space of a couple of paragraphs Jill is in one place, then another, then talking to one person, then in another place talking to someone else! It's very confusing.

I'm having a hard time understanding why Charlotte was the one to go with Deputy O'Shea. Why not Rebecca, his girlfriend? And why make Rebecca cover her shift in the morning when it was Rebecca's boyfriend's uncle who was murdered? She should be able to be with Deputy O'Shea and his family at a time like this. I have loved this series so far, but this book is rubbing me the wrong way.

I am trying really hard to like Pepper and the story, but it's too stilted feeling. Pepper acts like a little girl playing at being a grown up. She's in a long term relationship, yet waxing poetic about other guys' backsides. Her first priority in setting up a small business is to get business cards...before she even has the name sussed out. Her actions make her seem like the most likely suspect in the crime.
