i have a few thoughts now since my last update but i am having a mostly positive experience with this book so far.

so far, so good.

their first time together had me feeling the whole range of positive human emotions.

this is less of a romance and more of literary fiction but i don't really have issues (yet).

i'm starting from scratch bc it's been MONTHS since i last picked this up and i WILL be finishing this book this time around.

the noblemen suck. and the whole aristocracy really.

lord elend is highly SUS.

a lot is starting to happen and i had a good reading night.

chapter ended on a cliffhanger but it's time to go to bed now OH NO

some progress is being made finally.

back at it.

definitely very different from her other books.

i am too tired and lazy to chuck a bookmark in my physical copy rn.

i am beginning to see how this is a deeply yoongi book.

the character work is well-done so far.

finally actively started my reread today and my copy is already looking so bisexual (AS IT SHOULD).

"bosom band" was HILARIOUS.

i am still getting used to this but it's fun and very different from what i usually read (which is also a good thing i think).

it's the way suzanne collins knew what she was doing when she put snow's announcement of the 75th hunger games on chapter 12 🥲
