Some fun plot twists, but perhaps there were too many bread crumbs leading me to the whole loaf ages and ages ago

Feeling less and less compelled by the story the more I get into it

Not setting right that learning that a character who died years ago was pregnant sends the main character into a spiral

Perhaps too cozy. I keep forgetting which shopkeeper in a small town with a surprising backstory is which!

Uhhhhhh why suddenly have we reached a plot point about the main character's Longterm Tramatic Illness that has not even been teased up until the halfway point???

I really really tried. But it’s just a whole list of who knows who and who is related to who and why someone lives in a house and why they aren’t a fruit salesperson. Too many proper nouns and anecdotes I don’t care about.
