5 Stars: Amazing, must read, has a special spot on my bookshelf.

4 stars: Fantastic read, definitely recommend, made me learn/search things, continued thinking about.

3 stars: Good read, enjoyable and entertaining, ok to give book away to the next reader.

2 stars: had serious potential but flopped for a variety of reasons, don’t recommend.

1 star: not good. Stay away.

Awful. Poorly written, like I’m trying to understand a 3year old explain their simple dream from the night before. It’s painful to sit and try to read there is zero substance, tons of redundancy, and cheesy unrealistic relationships. It’s so awful I’m amazed I made it even halfway through.

Well I’m doing what I hate most - putting a book aside unfinished. This book has been going no where. Characters are superficial, scenes are boring, and it’s far too redundant to keep reading.

Nope. I tried and wanted to throw it across the room. I enjoyed Doerr’s “All the Light We Cannot See” and I do enjoy his writing style. But this is a mess to follow and not an entertaining one. I was invested in Seymour and Zeno the most. But it’s a really hard read and I’m throwing in the towel.
