Yall I am STRUGGLING. Are sequels in general just not as good or have I given this a real half assed reading attempt? Most likely both.

My negative judgement in the first 3 chapters was that the author wasn’t leaving any room for the reader to wonder or make interpretations of the universe. But now I understand why it works, the reason this series is super popular not just to lovers of fantasy, is because Yarros made the world accessible. It’s not hard to pick up Fourth Wing and become immersed.

This is such a different pace from the books Ive recently been reading. Honestly haven’t read a romcom in so long and I am bored? But everyone loves Emily Henry so maybe I’m just not in a romcom state of mind.

How tf is she still passing Uni. I swear she has not done one assignment this whole series.

Someone should study Suzanne Collin’s mind

Im trying so so very hard to keep an open mind but after the heap of patch-worked plagiarised on the nose, love tropes full of shit the last book was… I find myself quite biased.
