The books have fantastic meditations that draw from Buddhism, Stoicism, and psychology. I love the insights, but having just finished a similar book (Underground Novel), I can't shake the feeling that this is the right book, at the wrong time for me.

I'm not close to the end yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Warren is going to win somehow.

I have to fight the urge to give this book a rating before I've even read the book. There is something deeply intimate about Murakami's books that I wish more books had.
