I had to give up before I finished it. Too wordy, and it jumped around.

Listening on Audible. So far it’s great!

I’ve started reading the different people’s reactions. Had to take a break, because it was beginning to sound like the same thing over and over.

Listening to the audio book. About halfway through!

Well, I enjoyed the book for a while, but then it just kept dragging on. It seemed to be more boring details, all saying the same things that I picked up in the first few chapters.

I couldn’t finish this one!

I wound up trying to read this and White Fragility at the same time for two different book clubs. I think it was way more seriousness than I could handle at once. Perhaps I’ll come back to this book later.

Loving this book!

The book is holding my interest, but I'll be glad to finish it and move on to a very light read next. It's depressing to read Dawid's words of hope, knowing he will die before the war ends. But I think it's good for me to have a better understanding of the world at that time. It's interesting to see how the focus of his writing has shifted primarily to food (and its unavailability) at this point.

Like it so far! Way more optimistic than you'd think ... but realistic too.
