I bought this book after having seen the movie "The Imitation Game". I knew nothing about Alan Turing before I saw it, but had tears in my eyes at the end, when I saw how his life ended. Then my sister and I went to visit the Bletchley Park museum. I wanted to learn more about this man. Andrew Hodges' book is very well written but he is a mathematician and I am a linguist. I can't really follow the scientific parts.

Stopped reading this while I try to finish reading Three Cups of Tea, but sneaked back to it today. How much better written this book is. I finished this book ages ago. Thought it was very well written. I now live in Asker municipality and often pass Høn on the Train into Oslo. Always think of this book then.

I must admit I am struggling to finish this book. I read a little bit each night before falling asleep. I admire what Greg Mortenson has done but this book is so badly written, I don't think it does him credit. I am on the point of giving up and not bothering to read the rest.
I have given up - regard this book as read.
