So Madison, how's the book? "Oh I love it. There's... how do you say her name? *I tell her the name* Ok Phoebe. She finds this unicorn, and she takes it in to show and tell, but no one believes her. And Dakota is being mean to her, so the unicorn zaps all her hair off."
I thought no one believed in the unicorn?
"Dakota does now."
So in short - she's enjoying it quite a lot.

In this case, I'm not the one reading it. My update and reviews for this will be from the viewpoint of my 10 year old ADHD daughter - if it holds her attention, it's bound to be a good book.

And so far she's tearing through it like a cyclone, so that's a good sign.

I LIKED "Trial By Fire." Heh. Some of the Spanish threw me off, but that's because my Spanish is limited to what I learned when my daughter was hooked on Dora the Explorer.

I figured it out from context well enough of course, which speaks well of the author. On to the next!

Maybe it's because I've always been a story teller myself (long-time Dungeon Master for D&D, writer, etc) but I REALLY enjoyed the short story "The Greatest In Iceland."

Long way to go but so far so good!
