Reading the Reacher short story collection. It's excellent, pure escapism.

I actually really love Child's writing style. It is sparse, fast, clipped. Makes me look absolutely florid in comparison, lol, but our styles work for what we are each trying to do. His prose is so clean.

Finished my back log of Barbara Hambly. I miss the characters already...I'll have to wait for my birthday or Christmas to pick up some more. Now what should I read? I have a reading hang over and even though I have plenty of books on my TBR pile I feel a bit lost, lol!

I am a bit in love with the Night Circus so far...it is one of those worlds I wish I could have played in. Lush and really wonderful. Wish I could stay up late to read it, but work...*sighs*

I am very much loving the John Ceepak mysteries right now, but...can I confess, it drives me crazy that the amusement park ride never matches the name of the book? I guess a roller coaster is more exciting than a tilt a whirl, and a ferris wheel is easier to identify than a whack a mole, but still. (Minor gripe, the covers are super attractive.)

I actually like the Barbed Crown -- William Dietrich is awesome, and this sort of regency mystery and adventure is usually my cuppa, but I am having a hard time getting back to it. :(

I haven't been updating my reading much of late. I've been reading...including a trilogy so awful I don't want to admit to having owned it. Also, doing edits (almost done with this round!) on Chocolatier's Ghost.

Finished the last Cormoran Strike...eager for the next one! Now to try to get back into Haunt Me Still. Not a bad book, there is a lot to like but I don't think I was in the mood when I started it.
