This is the first book that I have read in a long while that I find hard to put down. Even whenever I'm not reading about it I'm thinking about it.

Decided to pick this book up again and speed read it the weekend before NaNoWriMo

I'm only at the 50% mark but I'm pretty sure that Breasts & Eggs is one of the best books I've ever read. The writing is just so spectacularly beautiful, and on a personal level it makes me want to work harder at becoming a better writer.

This is the weirdest thing of Ito's I've read. Wtf goes on inside his head to come up with these ideas?

Unless the ending sucks, this book is already becoming one of my favorite books I've read.

After having not listened to the show for years I decided to finally pick up this book and it has been quite the refreshing way to return to the world of Night Vale. I really enjoy the longer form exploration of the world of Night Vale through the perspectives of people living through what would be just another thing for Cecile to report on.

Maybe it's my horror sensibilities, or maybe it's my long time familiarity with Ito, but something about Tomie feels like not a straight up horror story but a grotesque (because let's face it, everything Ito touches is grotesque at points) horror-comedy. But I'm still early on in the novel so my opinion might change.

One day I put this book down and just never picked it back up. There's nothing wrong with the book perse but I do think that its episodic formatting takes away a lot of the momentum between arcs.

Just revisiting my favorite book again.

Only less than hour's worth of reading left. I can't believe this book actually has an end!

This book is a must read for the footnote lover in your life.

This is not the sort of book I'd usually read, but I've recently joined an online book club where the users submit a book to read and we all vote on which one we'll discuss and Braiding Sweetgrass came up on top. Honestly it's pretty cool that this happened because otherwise this is the sort of book that wouldn't even cross my radar.

I've gotten to the point with this book that the fact that there's *only* over 300 pages left feels short.

Sometimes it feels like this book will never end, sometimes I don't want this book to ever end.

Between Infinite Jest and this, this appears to be the summer of reading really big books I've been putting off for years.

I'm not sure if it's just book induced Stockholm syndrome but I think I see why people love this book now. (I kid, I've been loving this book since chapter 2, DFW's diverse writing talent keeps it always engaging, even if it rambles on too much with little direction)

Decided to reread this to see if it's as scary as I remember

I'm actually really starting to enjoy this book. In my impression this book is less of a conventional narrative and more of a collage of stories centered around the Incandenza family and their tennis academy.

This book is ridiculous and yet I can't put it down.
