Debra Dunbar's series continues intrigue and amuse as Sam evolves in messy, imp-like chaotic fashion, turning Hell, and especially the Elves, inside out and outside in. Can't wait for the next adventure. I can't even begin to speculate on what Sam will do next!

Haven't picked it up despite the fact that new books in this series have come out. Can't figure out why I am stuck but really don't have any interest right now. Still.

Highly recommend. "An Officer's Duty" was even better than the first installment, "A Soldier's Duty". There was a little too much detail about environmental systems, but overall there were fewer non-essential details.

Still haven't finished this! I liked the other books so I'm not sure why I am having so much trouble getting into the story. I will finish, I just need to start reading it . . . again.

I really enjoyed the story, the characters were well drawn and engaging, the paranormal was made normal by the matter of fact tone set by the author. Completed this one and immediately started reading the other two books in this world. Loved those two as well, highly recommend this author.

Liked the book, loved his stories about his mom at the end of the book.
