My brain right now: “WTF is going on and why am I enjoying it so much?”

The story is entertaining so far. I’m not a huge fan of the writing style, especially the dialogue.

These books are like potato chips… I’m not sure I even like them, but I’ll probably finish them all anyway. I had to go back to the previous book to figure out what Foster’s nickname for Burke “NBB” stood for (Nerdy Boy Bander). I couldn’t find it in this book.

Interesting premise, somewhat clunky writing. One of my pet peeves is the word “male” being used interchangeably with man or person as in “he looked at the male standing in front of him” (example not an actual quote). It just messes up the flow for me.

Not bad so far. I’m having some trouble telling the MCs apart and I could do without yet another dirty old lady side character.

It’s looong. I can’t believe I’m not even halfway through. Considering a DNF.

Finished the second book (Panther) I’d give it 2 stars. Raja’s immaturity was too much for me and his decisions didn’t make any sense. I don’t care what culture someone is from, putting their unborn child at risk of trafficking to save face is not excusable.

Book 2 (The Panther's Pretend Mate) chapter 11. Started off interesting. Plot hole? how do they have internet, but no devices except for a stolen laptop?
Lorenzo was very clear about wanting a real mate and I'm not a fan of the way Raja is treating him. Fake marriage is one thing, but insisting on it still being fake while intentionally getting pregnant is kind of cruel.

Just finished the first book. It was cute and creative. The characters were a bit frustrating at times.

The "reunion" is really bugging me. Mateo was kidnapped, dropped on an island with the fated mate he's been avoiding for a century, had their bond suppressed …. and immediately loses his virginity to said fated mate, Elias who is domineering and totally on board with the "alpha strong, omega obey" mindset. There are some words about that, and then Mateo apologizes for running away.

I’m having trouble with this one. Messing with someone who clearly has anxiety is not ok with me. Beckett intentionally sets Alex off because he thinks Alex is cute when he’s worked up. Alex gets anxiety attacks, not just a bit frustrated. Not cool.

Really sweet and entertaining. Had trouble separating Zeke and Rett sometimes. Also, the flight across the country seemed a little unwarranted.

Loving it so far. The humor and banter are hitting the spot. Feels kind of like Bridget Jones’ Diary. Alex is ridiculous and Miffy is perfect for him.

I’m having a hard time with this book. I love learning about history, but there are so many little embellishments that I’m having a hard time figuring out what really happened and what the author made up. People blushing or Holmes’s rolling his sleeves up/down before & after a murder seem like unlikely details to have been recorded by participants or witnesses. Also so much obsession over blue eyes!

Theodore is so cute!

I've laughed out loud several times since my last updated. I love Patrick so much more than when I read the ebook.

I’m liking the audio even more than the ebook so far. Patrick is such a hilarious and lovable jerk. Not my favorite narrator, but I’ve warmed up to his style for this book.

Not much has happened so far. The guys met, flirted, resisted, and caved over 5 days and about 8.5 hours of audio. They speak in purple prose while insisting on keeping things casual.
