I'm not sure I'll finish this. I really can't seem to like either of the primary characters.

DNF for me. This is the second MacBride book I've read or, in this case, tried to. It's gross and gory but the problem I have is the constant yelling, arguing, fighting etc. the books would be a lot shorter if these people just did their jobs without constant haranguing. The plot is interesting but I just can't stand the discord.

I'm having a difficult time sticking with this, though I really liked Italian Shoes. Going to let it rest for a.few days.

I'm reading the English translation since my Swedish is non-existent. No corresponding copy on Goodreads.

I had to put this back on the shelf after the first 7 chapters because I could not suspend my disbelief of the character's naivete. May be when I'm in a more open mood, I have enjoyed Perry's other series in the past.

Very good. Very informative. It takes some time to let it sink in.

I've decided to put this on my tbr list for another time. I like Russell's writing and character development but I'm basically bored at this point.

Maybe it's just my current state of mind. Although I live the way she is building the characters I find I'm bored at

I'm really enjoying this but it is so crammed with information it takes a long time to digest. The research must have taken years.

This book. When I'm reading it I'm fascinated. It's imaginative & well written. Sometimes hard to follow without fierce focus. But, after I put it down, I have to force myself to pick it up again. It's engaging after you engage, I suppose. Going to try to stick with it but I don't like having to force myself to read something. Giving it a,few more days.

This book requires slow, thoughtful reading. And may very well require rereading. But it so resonates with me.
